A rock planting slab shaped to mimic natural stone, 15 by 8 by 1 inch, cast from a glass-fiber-reinforced concrete mixture rather than real rock, which keeps it lighter and more consistent to work with. Two drainage holes are built into the surface, and a raised lip runs around the planting area to hold soil and moss in place despite the flat, rock-like profile. Slabs like this suit root-over-rock plantings, saikei landscapes, or a tree positioned off-center the way it might grow on an actual outcropping. The textured stone look gives a display more visual interest than a conventional round or rectangular pot.
